Dorothy W. Cantor, Psy.D.,
is a psychologist who has been practicing for over twenty-five years in
Westfield, New Jersey, since earning her doctorate at the Graduate
School of Applied and Professional Psychology, Rutgers University. She
served as president of the American Psychological Association in 1996,
and is currently president of the American Psychological Foundation. She
is the author of five books, including Women in Power: The Secrets of
Leadership, and What Do You Want to Do When You Grow Up? Starting
the Next Chapter of Your Life. She has appeared on national
television on such programs as the Today Show and Good
Morning, America. She is long married, and has two children and
