Carol
D. Goodheart, Ed.D.,
is a psychologist in Princeton, New Jersey, who has been practicing for
twenty-five years since earning her doctorate in Counseling Psychology
at Rutgers University. She serves currently as a member of the American
Psychological Association Board of Directors, is a past president of
Psychologists in Independent Practice, and is a Distinguished
Practitioner in the National Academy of Psychology. She is an author and
editor of numerous articles and four books, including Living with
Childhood Cancer: A Practical Guide to Help Families Cope, and the
forthcoming Handbook of Girls’ and Women’s Psychological Health:
Gender and Well-Being across the Life Span. She is married, has
three children and five grandchildren, and a passion for creating
